Depatching is quite simple, actually, and useful when you accidentally patch up to a higher version (
Note: use WoW.exe instead of the default launcher to avoid autopatching) or come to FireSquare from another server which is running a higher patch.
So, to depatch, simply delete the
patch.mpq and
patch-2.mpq files from your
World of Warcraft/Data directory and then run the
Repair.exe (select
Check and Repair Files. It should get your version back to 3.0.1, from where you can patch up to FireSquare's current version. You can find the patches
here. More information on patching in the
installation guide.
If you're wondering why we're not using the highest patch - that is because it's more unstable and/or bugged than the patch we're currently supporting. As the bugs and stability issues get fixed, we will, of course, upgrade our server to the higher patch.
If you have any issues (de)patching or connecting, or other kinds of issues, do search for it in the first hand (it might already be answered, so the search will save you the time you'd otherwise wait for your issue to be answered), or else open a new topic at the
Technical Support board. Thank you.

Best regards,
Your FireSquare Team
